Welcome to Pack 7

Cub Scout Pack 7 is sponsored by the Gower Elementary School PTO and welcomes all boys and girls from 1st grade through 5th grade into our program. We are open to scouts who do not attend Gower. Most of the pack-wide activities are open to the entire family.

Our goal is to have fun while teaching our children to do their best and live responsible and ethical lives as directed by the scout law and the scout oath. As cub scouts we are learning that we all have responsibilities to ourselves and to our community, our nation, and our world. We teach these principles through various fun activities and through the youth earning badges and ranks while in the program. Each rank requires scouts to identify their duty to God while leaving that discussion to the family and letting the family to determine what God means to them.

This pack also takes youth protection very seriously. Each adult who works with our youth is required to go through BSA training to recognize and prevent child abuse. Each adult is subject to a background check. No youth is every allowed one on one contact with an adult since we follow the BSA guidelines for two deep leadership in all cases. The BSA pioneered this approach in the 1990’s and others have now adopted similar practices.
